Chapter 90: Patient's Family? Emotional Breakdown? How the hell is this supposed to be acted?
Chapter 90: Patient's Family? Emotional Breakdown? How the hell is this supposed to be acted?
Hua Fengyi looked at the two of them, and the smile on her lips deepened.
He pulled a slip of paper from the lesson plan and read aloud: "Scenario: Luxury store. Character relationships... Chu Yao, you are the store manager. Yun Yiyi, you are the customer. Core conflict..."
A sly glint flashed in her eyes. "Yun Yiyi, you suspect the limited-edition bag Chu Yao sold you is fake. Chu Yao, you insist it's genuine. Begin."
The classroom erupted in chaos.
Holy crap! This plot is fucking thrilling! Luxury store! Counterfeit goods! Store manager vs. customer! Isn't this just a high-class version of a "shrewish brawl"?
Chu Yao and Yun Yiyi exchanged a glance. One's gaze was languid yet provocative, while the other's was cold yet disdainful.
Yun Yiyi spoke first. She slightly raised her chin, her cold, beautiful eyes fixed on Chu Yao, her voice clear and cool, with a slightly husky magnetism, like chilled red wine:
"I bought this bag from you last month. Take a look for yourself, the stitching is crooked, the hardware is discolored, and the leather smells like chemicals."
She held up a virtual "bag" as she spoke, her tone calm but every word sharp, "Explain yourself to me."
Chu Yao remained calm and composed. She crossed her arms over her chest... This gesture accentuated the full curves of her figure, which were encased in a satin shirt, and her deep cleavage shone so brightly under the lights that it made one dizzy.
A slight smile played on her lips, her eyes languid yet carrying a hint of condescending scrutiny: "Madam, this bag is a classic design from our brand, and each one has a unique serial number. The stitching, hardware, and leather you mentioned are all normal differences inherent in handmade production."
With a hint of sarcasm in his tone, he said, "Of course, if you usually use mass-produced... ordinary brands, you might not be so suited to the characteristics of handmade products."
What the hell!
That was a sarcastic yet elegant remark! It maintained the prestige of "luxury goods" while subtly mocking Yun Yiyi for being "unworldly."
The students in the audience gasped.
Yun Yiyi's eyes sharpened. She wasn't provoked; instead, she became even calmer.
She took a step forward, the hem of her black dress swaying gently with her steps, her long legs encased in black stockings gleaming alluringly under the lights.
She stretched out her hand, pointing virtually to a spot on the "bag," her voice still cool, but her pace quickened slightly:
"Code? You mean this blurry, illegible number? Or this anti-counterfeiting label that wipes off easily?"
She looked up, her cold, beautiful eyes fixed on Chu Yao, a slight smile playing on her lips. "Manager, I'm not here to discuss craftsmanship with you. I'm here to assert my rights. Three times the price back if it's fake. You decide what to do."
The classroom was completely silent.
Shen Li was dumbfounded. These two women's acting skills are absolutely top-notch!
Chu Yao portrayed a "proud but guilty" luxury store manager so vividly... She perfectly captured the feeling of trying to appear calm, using professional jargon to fool people, but with a hint of panic hidden in her eyes.
Yun Yiyi perfectly portrayed a "calm but persistent" customer seeking redress... not through hysterical shouting, but by using logic and evidence to gradually dismantle the other party's defenses.
Hua Fengyi called for a halt. She looked at Chu Yao and Yun Yiyi, a hint of satisfaction flashing in her eyes.
"Not bad. Chu Yao, your store manager is arrogant, but not guilty enough. When the counterfeit goods were exposed on the spot, your 'panic' only lasted for less than half a second before you suppressed it. Too fast. Before the audience could even see it clearly, you had already turned back into that 'I've seen it all' store manager again."
She paused slightly, then said, "Give the audience half a second more. Let them see your cracks."
Chu Yao nodded, seemingly lost in thought.
Hua Fengyi turned to Yun Yiyi: "Yun Yiyi, your customer is calm and logical, but lacks a moment of 'explosion'. You've been consistent from beginning to end... cold, steady, and accurate. This is your strength, but also your weakness."
She paused for a moment, "Even the most composed person seeking redress will eventually break down after being fooled by the shop owner for so long. Find that moment and let the audience see your emotions."
Yun Yiyi nodded slightly, her face expressionless, but a thoughtful look flashed in her eyes.
"However, overall, it's very good."
Hua Fengyi rarely showed an approving smile, "Your scenes together were evenly matched, neither of you dominating the other. Keep it up."
Chu Yao and Yun Yiyi returned to their seats. Shen Li noticed that the two of them exchanged a glance... not the previous "secretly competitive" look, but something else...
How to put it? It's a bit like the mutual respect between two equally matched opponents? Or a bit like a declaration of war: "This time it's a draw, let's fight again next time"?
Shen Li mentally added another entry: "Chu Yao and Yun Yiyi appear to be keeping to themselves, but they're secretly competing. But Teacher Hua's 'fake bag incident' has actually sparked some kind of...healthy competition between them?"
Hua Fengyi called on a few more groups of students to go up. Some performed well, while others were complete disasters. Jingyang partnered with a boy and drew the scenario of "two drunk men arguing in the street."
Jing Yang brought to life a drunkard who was "too drunk but too proud to admit it." His lines were unclear but his emotions were full. Teacher Hua commented, "His physical movements were on point, but his lines were too unclear. He should go back and practice tongue twisters."
When it was Shen Li's turn, he was paired with Xiao Zhao.
Shen Li's heart skipped a beat. Damn it, she'd been hiding all morning, but she still couldn't escape it.
Xiao Zhao stood up with a smile. Her full curves, encased in a pale yellow halter top, swayed as she stood up, and her peach-shaped buttocks, accentuated by her white bodycon skirt, were round and perky under the light.
She walked over to Shen Li, her peach blossom eyes brimming with tears, and lowered her voice: "It's finally our turn."
Shen Li put on an innocent smile: "Xiao Zhao, please give me your guidance."
Hua Fengyi looked at the two of them, a smirk playing on her lips:
"Shen Li, Xiao Zhao. Setting: Hospital corridor. Character relationships... Xiao Zhao, you are a nurse. Shen Li, you are a patient's family member. Core conflict: Shen Li, your family member's surgery failed, and you are emotionally devastated. Xiao Zhao, you need to comfort him, but according to regulations, you cannot reveal too many medical details. Begin."
Shen Li's mind raced. A patient's family member? An emotional breakdown? How the hell was he supposed to act that? He took a deep breath and instantly got into character.
He sat on a virtual "hospital corridor bench," his hands clasped together, his knuckles white from the force. His head was bowed, his shoulders trembling slightly. His breathing grew increasingly rapid, as if he were desperately suppressing something.
Then, she suddenly stood up, rushed to the virtual "nurse station", placed her hands on the table, and leaned forward.
Her eyes were red-rimmed, her voice hoarse, filled with suppressed anger and despair: "Tell me! Why! Why did it fail! Weren't they saying the success rate was very high before the surgery?! How did you perform the surgery?!"
Xiao Zhao was stunned for a moment by Shen Li's outburst, but quickly got back into the zone.
She stood up, her full curves, encased in a (virtual) nurse's uniform, swaying slightly with her movements.
He gently reached out and supported Shen Li's arm, his voice soft yet professional:
"Sir, please calm down. The surgeon will explain the details of the surgery to you. I understand how you feel, but this is a hospital, please..."
