Chapter 127 Terrifying and Ferocious
Chapter 127 Terrifying and Ferocious
"What is that?"
"Oh no! It's a red dragon! Get out of the way!"
boom--!!!
It was over 16 meters long, covered with layers of hard scales, and resembled a giant beast that moved like a small hill. It crashed down from the sky with tremendous kinetic energy that could destroy the world, and its power was no less than that of a small meteorite falling.
A terrifying shockwave raged wildly in all directions, and the intense heat and flames transformed into a crimson torrent that swept everything away, exploding in the air into a hideous crimson lotus flower.
The drow elves were all agile, leaping up and quickly retreating from their original positions. Although they were still caught up by the shockwave and rolled around on the ground in a sorry state, fortunately they were not seriously injured.
But the giant spiders weren't so lucky. Two of them, unable to dodge in time, were smashed into a pile of minced meat by Thor on the spot.
The vast majority of the remaining creatures were also engulfed by the spreading flames and flying debris, their tough chitinous shells crackling and emitting piercing screams.
Even Thor himself wasn't feeling too good. He shook his head as he climbed out of the crater he had created, feeling dizzy and with a dull ache in his chest.
It seems that my physical abilities are still quite different from those of the Sky Comet. It's best to avoid using moves like this cute star-flying collision if possible.
Just as he was feeling slightly dissatisfied with his body not being strong enough, he was completely unaware of the terrified looks he was getting from the drow elves around him.
What kind of monster is this? Even a red dragon would have no chance of surviving a crash to the ground at that speed!
But the creature in front of them seemed completely unharmed. Not only was it not injured, but its scales were also unmarked, still bright red like a hot iron, and occasionally sparks flew out.
The long tail behind him and the huge wings folded at his sides left deep scratches on the hard rocky ground with his unconscious movements, all demonstrating his terrifying destructive power.
A scorching wind rushed towards us, and the air temperature was gradually rising.
The drow priest stared at the monster, which was far more terrifying than a normal red dragon. His forehead was covered in sweat, and he couldn't tell whether it was from the heat or from fear.
After shaking his head vigorously to shake off the dizziness, Thor proudly raised his head and looked down at the drow elves around him.
"You black-skinned rats, instead of staying obediently in your rat holes, you dare to run into the sunlight? Aren't you afraid I'll accidentally step on you and kill you?"
The surrounding drow elves were enraged by these mocking words, but their cunning nature prevented them from acting immediately. Instead, they scanned the area and calmly considered how to respond.
The drow priest emerged from behind a protruding rock, glanced at her tattered cloak, and simply ripped it off. Her long, silver hair cascaded down like moonlight, and a seductive yet dangerous smile, as alluring as a poppy, graced her enchanting face.
"Greetings, Your Excellency Red Dragon. We have no intention of offending your territory. We are here on the orders of our mistress to capture some lowly traitors. If you..."
"Shut up!"
Thor forcefully interrupted the drow priest, then casually picked up a charred giant spider leg from the ground and crunched it in his mouth.
"I don't want to hear your nonsense. Just tell me what price you're willing to pay for your offensive behavior!"
The drow priestess's smile froze. Even in the cruel Underdark, no one had ever dared to underestimate her like this.
If she were facing an ordinary creature, she would have already severed its head, but looking at the terrifying aura emanating from the red dragon before her, she could only forcibly suppress the anger in her heart.
"We can make a deal! How about 100 gold coins for each gray dwarf? You'll gain a fortune instantly if you hand them over to me."
The charred spider legs tasted somewhat like crab, but unfortunately, they had little meat and mostly shell, so they weren't very tasty. Thor spat them out with a "pui!"
Looking at the arrogant drow elf before him, he completely lost his last remaining patience.
100 gold coins for a gray dwarf? Are they trying to fob me off, or are they taking advantage of my ignorance? These are all excellent craftsmen, and given that dwarves have a much longer lifespan than humans, the value they can create is far more than this.
Besides, what right do these lowly creatures have to bargain with him?
…………
"I've given you all a chance, but you didn't cherish it. Since that's the case, then let you all turn to ashes!"
These merciless words chilled all the drow elves around them, who picked up their weapons and prepared for a fight.
However, the evil creatures that had surrounded Thor's forces began to scatter in terror, and even the gray dwarves and kobolds dragged their wounded away without looking back.
Amidst the bewildered gazes of the many drow elves, they quickly and completely disappeared from sight.
The next instant, a scorching orange-red and blue ray of light shot out from Thor's mouth, instantly traversing a distance of over a hundred meters and landing precisely on the chest of one of the drow elves.
The breastplate, crafted from unusual underground minerals, was utterly unable to withstand such terrifying heat, quickly turning a deep red and dripping viscous molten iron.
The drow elf's already dark skin turned completely charred, its fat and muscle ignited until it was pierced by rays.
All of this happened in the blink of an eye. Then, Thor shook his head, and the ray from his mouth transformed into a merciless blade, beginning to ruthlessly slice through everything around him.
"Get out of the way!"
"That red dragon's breath is terrifying; we absolutely mustn't let it touch us!"
As a race of elves born with extremely high sensitivity, and after undergoing brutal training, all drow elves possess extremely agile skills.
Two of the shadow dancers vanished in a flash, reappearing in the shadows beneath Thor's wings, brandishing their exquisitely carved twin blades.
A crisp "ding!" rang out!
The immense recoil nearly caused the two drow elves to lose their grip on their weapons. The intense heat from the fire elemental energy traveled through the point where the blades met the scales, instantly turning the blades a bright red and causing a sharp burning pain in their hands.
Before those iron-clad wings could strike, the two drow shadow dancers quickly disappeared back into the shadows, emerging with pained expressions from behind a boulder in the distance. Looking down at their palms, they found that the skin on their hands was completely charred and stuck tightly to the hilt of their swords.
"This red dragon's scales are too tough; ordinary weapons are completely ineffective!"
"Direct contact with metal is not allowed; the temperature conduction is abnormally fast!"
The two drow shadow dancers loudly warned their companions, then gritted their teeth and tore off the weapons stuck to their hands, tearing their cloaks into strips to use as bandages, which they then wrapped around the hilts of their swords.
Upon hearing this, the other drow elves around felt a chill in their hearts. Ordinary weapons were ineffective, and they couldn't even make direct contact with metal. So how were they supposed to deal with this red dragon?
Should they rely on ranged arrows and magical attacks? The thought had barely crossed their minds when a terrifying torrent of flames erupted from Thor, turning the area within a 30-meter radius of him into a scorching inferno.
The rocks began to melt, and the air distorted like ripples on water. In this environment filled with fire elements, all negative energy attacks and dark magic would be severely suppressed.
